EverythingvsClose
Close is the best dialer in the category with a record system around it. Everything has a dialer too, and then every other channel your buyers answer on.
The short version
Close is a phone company with a record system attached. If your team dials, it is the best-built dialer here, and every surface is arranged around getting to the next call.
Everything has a dialer too, with parallel dialing, recordings, transcripts and call reports. Then it keeps going. LinkedIn, WhatsApp, iMessage, SMS, X and Reddit in the same inbox, sequences that step across all of them, and the contract and the invoice after the yes.
So the question is how many channels your buyers answer on. If it is the phone, Close is hard to beat. If half the pipeline lives in LinkedIn DMs and WhatsApp threads, Close cannot see it.
The prices meet at the top. Close Growth is $99 a seat billed annually, the same as ours, and calling minutes and phone numbers are billed on top of it.
Where the two came from
Close
Close started in 2013 as Close.io, built by a team that ran an outsourced sales operation and wanted the phone inside the record system instead of beside it. That is still the product. A power dialer, a predictive dialer, local presence, recording and transcription, with email and SMS in the same window, and Chloe, an AI teammate that places calls and updates records. It stops at those three channels, and it stops at the deal.
Everything
Everything comes from The Tool Company, built by a founder who spent years as a BDR watching half of every deal happen outside the system of record. It started as a signing tool, grew a record layer, then an inbox for every channel, then the rest. The bet is one team owning the whole revenue motion as a single product, so the seams disappear.
Calling
- Close
- The Power Dialer starts on Growth and the Predictive Dialer on Scale. Local presence, call recording, transcription, and live call coaching on Scale. Calling runs around $0.02 a minute and numbers about $1 a month each, billed on top of the seat.
- Everything
- A browser dialer with parallel dialing, recording, transcripts and structured call reports. Dial lists built from any filter, caller ID reputation watched per number, and the whole call history on the record.
Close wins this one.Verdict. Close. Predictive dialing and live coaching are theirs, and we have neither.
Channels
- Close
- Calling, email and SMS, all three native and well built. Nothing else. LinkedIn, WhatsApp, iMessage, X and Reddit are not channels in Close.
- Everything
- Email, LinkedIn DMs, WhatsApp, iMessage and SMS, X, Reddit, Slack and website chat in one inbox. A reply goes back out on the channel it came in on. LinkedIn runs through your own browser session, never a server.
Verdict. Everything. Three channels is a narrow view of a pipeline that answers on eight.
Outreach
- Close
- Workflows from the Growth plan, with email, call and SMS steps and delays between them. Bulk email on Growth. No LinkedIn steps and no prospect search.
- Everything
- Sequences with email, LinkedIn connect, message and InMail, WhatsApp, texts, X, Reddit and call steps, with delays, conditions, A/B variants and per-person personalization. Prospect search on LinkedIn from inside the app.
Verdict. Everything. Same idea, five more channels, and the finding happens in the same place.
Meetings
- Close
- Call Assistant is a $50 a month add-on with usage billed on top. It records and summarizes calls and Zoom meetings.
- Everything
- Meetings recorded by the desktop app become a transcript, a summary and action items on the deal. Booking links and availability included.
Verdict. Everything. Ours is included rather than an add-on, and it covers meetings that were never calls.
After the yes
- Close
- Close stops at the deal. Contracts, invoices, support and onboarding happen in other products.
- Everything
- Contracts with e-signature, order forms and invoices generated from the signed contract, a helpdesk with SLA clocks, shared customer plans, docs, and Stripe billing health on every customer.
Verdict. Everything. This half of the job is not something Close is trying to do.
AI
- Close
- Chloe, an AI teammate that calls leads, qualifies them, books meetings and keeps records current. Metered in AI credits: 500 a month on Solo, 1,500 on Growth, 2,000 on Scale.
- Everything
- Claude wired into the workspace. It reads every channel, meeting and document and acts: sends, schedules, enrolls, builds sequences and workflows, runs reports. Skills, routines, an MCP server, and a daily brief written from real conversations. Not metered.
Even.Verdict. Even. Chloe places outbound calls on its own, which ours does not. Ours has more of the conversation to read and no credit meter.
Pricing
- Close
- Solo $9 a user a month annual or $19 monthly, one seat. Essentials $35 or $49. Growth $99 or $109, which is where workflows and the Power Dialer start. Scale $139 or $149 for the Predictive Dialer and role-based permissions. Calling and numbers billed on usage.
- Everything
- One plan at $99 a user a month or $999 a year, with every feature. A $1 a week trial up to four weeks.
Close wins this one.Verdict. Close, below the Growth tier. At Growth both list at $99 and Close still bills calling on top.
Where Close is better
- The best dialer in the category. Predictive dialing, local presence and live call coaching.
- A $9 solo seat and a $35 team seat. Nothing here is that cheap.
- An AI teammate that places outbound calls by itself.
- Thirteen years of phone infrastructure. Call quality and deliverability are a solved problem there.
- Less to learn, if the phone is the whole job.
Where Everything is better
- LinkedIn, WhatsApp, iMessage, X, Reddit and website chat beside email, SMS and calls.
- Sequences that step across every channel, not only the three Close has.
- Contracts, invoices, tickets, plans and docs in the same product, on the same records.
- A native meeting recorder rather than a paid call add-on.
- An assistant with no credit meter, reading every conversation.

Questions
Does Everything have a predictive dialer?+
No. It has a parallel dialer, which dials several numbers at once and connects you to whoever picks up. Predictive dialing that paces itself against agent availability is Close only.
Can I move from Close?+
Export leads, contacts and opportunities to CSV and import them. Columns map to fields, including custom ones. Email history rebuilds from the connected mailbox. Call recordings stay in Close.
Is calling included in the $99?+
The dialer is. Minutes and phone numbers are billed on usage, the same way Close does it.
Which is cheaper?+
Close, up to its Essentials tier. Growth and our plan are both $99, and at that point we include contracts, invoices, a helpdesk, a meeting recorder and five more channels.
Does Everything integrate with Close?+
Not directly. It is built to replace it, and the stack around it.
