Team & settings

Settings, Users is who is in the workspace, what they are, and who they report to. Everything a member does is attributed to them, which is what the leaderboards, the goals and the team brief read.

Inviting

  1. 1Settings, Users, then Invite.
  2. 2Enter an email and pick a role. Owner, admin or member.
  3. 3They get a link. Until they accept, the invitation shows as pending and can be resent or revoked.
The Users table
Role, team, manager, department, and the seat, per member.

Roles

Owner
Created the workspace. Manages billing, and bypasses every permission check.
Admin
Manages the workspace and members. Also bypasses permission checks.
Member
Gets access through a permission profile. The default member profile is there out of the box.

Teams, managers and departments

  • Group members into teams with leads. Goals, reports and saved views scope to a team.
  • Manager and department on each member drive the manager and department briefs.
  • A team lead sees a brief for the team. A manager sees one for their reports.

Locking a seat

Lock a member to suspend their access and release their paid seat. Nothing they did is deleted: their deals, threads and calls stay attributed to them, and unlocking restores everything.

Seats on the bill
Seats are counted from Users. Locking one changes the count.

Around team & settings

The parts of the workspace this one works with.

Permissions

A profile per member. A grant per resource and action. A scope of none, own, team or all. Overrides on top.

Owners and admins see everything. Everyone else sees what their permission profile says, and the profile is a matrix you can read in one glance: resources down the side, actions across the top, a scope in each cell.

The matrix

Workspace settings

Name, logo, currency, working days, send limits, legal entities, and the template your meeting notes follow.

Settings, Workspace is the configuration the whole team shares. Admins edit it. Everyone sees the result on booking pages, shared plans, signing requests and every message that goes out.

Workspace

Notifications

In-app, push, email and Slack, per event. Opens and clicks on mail you sent, mentions, assignments, stale tickets.

Every kind of event has a row, and every row has the channels it may reach you on. Nothing reaches you twice, and nothing reaches you that you did not switch on.

The grid

Billing and seats

A short paid trial, then a monthly plan per workspace with paid seats. Lock a member to free a seat.

Billing is per workspace. Members hold paid seats. The trial is short and paid, with every feature on, and after it the workspace moves onto the monthly plan.

Billing

Custom domains

Signing links, booking pages and shared plans on your own domain.

The links you send out can carry your domain instead of ours. A signing request from sign.yourcompany.com, a booking page on book.yourcompany.com. One CNAME per surface.

Questions

Can a member see other members’ deals?+

That depends on their permission profile. View deals: team lets them see the team’s; all lets them see everyone’s.

What happens to a removed member’s records?+

Reassign their deals and tasks before removing them, or lock the seat instead and keep the history intact.

Do support seats cost anything?+

Our support team’s seats are never billed and never shown.

Is it per record?+

It is per resource, action and scope. Own and team are the per-record part: they resolve against who owns the record.

Can I see what changed?+

Member activity logs permission changes like any other edit, with who made them.

Do admins need a profile?+

No. Owners and admins bypass the matrix entirely.

Who can edit these?+

Owners and admins. Members see the result.

Can different teams have different working days?+

Working days are per workspace. Goals are per team, so a team on a different week can set its own targets.

Can I get a daily digest instead?+

The brief is the digest. Open Home once a day and everything that mattered is in it. Turn the rest off.

Why did a notification arrive natively and not in the app?+

The desktop app was running. When it is, it owns notifications so you do not get two.

What happens when the trial ends?+

The workspace moves onto the monthly plan on the card you entered. Cancel before then and it stops.

Is anything metered separately?+

Email and phone lookups cost per hit and are governed by Enrichment settings. Everything else is in the seat.

Can I pay annually?+

Write to support and we will set it up.

Do I need a certificate?+

No. It is issued and renewed for you once the CNAME resolves.

Can one domain cover all surfaces?+

Each surface takes its own hostname, so use subdomains: sign, book, plans, video.
