Calls
Dial, transcribe, disposition
Dial from a record or a list, record and transcribe, and get the outcome written up for you.
Calling from inside the workspace means the call logs itself against the right person, with the direction, the duration and what actually happened on it. No separate softphone, no copying notes across.
The Calls page
- Overview
- Build a call list from tasks, people or companies, preview the queue, then dial.
- Dialer
- A keypad for a one-off number, and the active call with notes beside it.
- Call history
- Every call with its recording, transcript, disposition and notes.
- Phone numbers
- The numbers the workspace owns and who calls from which.
A call blitz
- 1Filter tasks to the ones with a phone number, or pick people and companies directly.
- 2Add them to the list. The queue shows who is next and their local time.
- 3Dial. One at a time, or several in parallel, and the first to answer is yours.
- 4Log the outcome. A no-answer pre-selects its disposition; a connected call gets notes and a next step.
After the call
- Recording and transcription with speaker labels, when switched on.
- Cold calls get a structured report afterwards: what they said, the objections, the next step.
- The disposition feeds the Calls report and can trigger a workflow.
- Every call sits on the person’s record under Calls, next to their emails and meetings.
Keeping the number clean
Caller ID health shows how carriers label your number. A SHAKEN/STIR registration and a business profile keep it from being flagged. Pause a number that has been marked and let it recover.
Around calls
The parts of the workspace this one works with.
Calls settings
Dispositions, purposes, the dialer’s behaviour, pre-recorded voicemails, and which outcome pre-selects which disposition.
The dialer logs every call. This is where you decide what a rep can say about it afterwards, and how the dialer behaves between calls.
A business number
A phone number for texting and calls. US numbers need A2P registration before carriers deliver reliably.
The business number is what workflows and sequences text from, and what the dialer calls from. It always fires on time, which the Mac legs of texting cannot promise, and it carries the workspace’s caller ID.
Phone numbers
Find a number, check it is live, and mark the ones that are wrong or off limits.
A number costs more than an email to find, so it is checked before it is charged for, and a number that turns out dead can be claimed back. The dialer reads the marks, so a wrong number is never dialled twice.
Questions
Do I need a headset?+
Any microphone the browser can use. The desktop app is not required for calls.
Can I call from my own mobile number?+
Calls go out from a workspace number so they log and record. Bring your own number in under Phone numbers if you want to keep it.
What does parallel dialing do?+
It rings several numbers at once and connects you to the first person who picks up. The rest are marked and re-queued.
Who can change these?+
Admins. Reps pick from the lists.
Can a disposition trigger something?+
Yes. A workflow can start from a call logged with a given disposition.
How long does A2P take?+
Usually days, sometimes longer. The panel shows the status.
Can each rep have their own number?+
Yes. Assign a number per member under Phone numbers.
Can I call from my own cell instead?+
Yes, for calls. Calls, Phone numbers, Add your own number: it rings your phone with a code to key in, then the dialer shows your cell as caller ID. It can’t send texts; those come from a business number or your Mac.
Mobile or office?+
Both are found when available. The dialer prefers the mobile for a person and the main line for a company.
What about numbers I import?+
Verify them in bulk. Dead lines are marked before a blitz wastes an hour on them.
Try calls on your own data
Connect your email, then open a person. Most of the product shows up on that one page once the mail is in.
