Everything for Mac
A menu bar app that connects your Mac to your workspace. It carries the four things a web app can't: iMessage, the assistant, dictation, and meeting recording.
Version 0.3.4 · 1.5 MB · macOS 13 or later · Apple silicon and Intel
Free with your Everything account. Don't have one?
What it does
iMessage and SMS
Syncs your Messages conversations into Everything and sends replies from your own number, through your own Mac. Green texts fall back to the workspace number.
The assistant
The in-app assistant runs Claude Code on your Mac, against your own session. Nothing runs on our servers.
Dictation
Hold ⌥D anywhere to dictate. Two engines, both free, both local.
Meeting recording
Records and transcribes calls happening on your Mac, then files them against the right record.
Installing it
Five minutes, most of it macOS asking for permission.
- 1
Download and unzip
Move Everything Helper into your Applications folder before you open it.
- 2
Open it
Double-click the app. It lives in your menu bar, not the Dock.
- 3
Grant Full Disk Access
The helper reads the Messages database on your own Mac, and macOS only allows that with Full Disk Access. Skip this one if you only want the assistant, dictation and meeting recording.
open "x-apple.systempreferences:com.apple.preference.security?Privacy_AllFiles"Or do it by hand: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Full Disk Access → + → Everything Helper.
Sending works without this. Reading your messages doesn't.
- 4
Pair it with your workspace
In Everything, open Settings → Integrations → Everything for Mac and get a 6-digit pairing code. Enter it in the helper's menu bar item. This is the one step that needs an account.
- 5
Turn on tapbacks and replies (optional)
Syncing and sending already work. Accessibility permission adds the two things macOS won't let an app do any other way: reacting with a tapback, and posting a real threaded reply.
open "x-apple.systempreferences:com.apple.preference.security?Privacy_Accessibility"Or do it by hand: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility → + → Everything Helper.
This is what lets the helper add tapbacks and post real threaded replies. Reading and sending messages already work without it.
What leaves your Mac
The helper syncs the Messages conversations in your workspace and the sends you queue from Everything. It holds a device token you can revoke from Settings at any time, which stops it immediately. Your Mac stays the source of truth: when it's asleep or offline, sends queue on our end and fail with a notice rather than going out some other way.
