Everything vs Lightfield
Lightfield starts from the conversation and builds a memory of the business. Everything starts from the work and keeps the record as a side effect.
The short version
Lightfield and Everything both refuse the idea that a person should type the CRM. Both read the conversation and write the record.
Lightfield reads email, calendar, Slack, LinkedIn and meetings, and is strongest on the meeting: capture, coaching, qualification, forecast. It is priced per workspace on the Pro tier and up, with a small number of capture seats.
Everything reads more channels, WhatsApp and iMessage and X and Reddit and website chat included, and then does the work: the dialer, the sequences, the contracts, the invoices, the support. Every seat captures.
If meetings are the motion and you have the budget for a workspace plan, Lightfield is a serious product. If you sell across every channel and want the whole stack, Everything.
Where the two came from
Lightfield
Lightfield was built by the founders of Tome and raised a $47M Series A led by a16z. It is a conversation-first, AI-native CRM: connect the inbox and the calendar, record the meetings, and the pipeline populates itself. It sells capture seats, with sequences and LinkedIn sync on the workspace plans, and two-way sync to Salesforce and HubSpot for larger companies.
Everything
Everything comes from The Tool Company, built by a founder who spent years as a BDR watching half of every deal happen outside the system of record. It started as a signing tool, grew a record layer, then an inbox for every channel, then the rest. The bet is one team owning the whole revenue motion as a single product, so the seams disappear.
Capture
- Lightfield
- Email, calendar, Slack and LinkedIn sync, and an AI meeting recorder. Records structure themselves from the conversation. Capture seats are limited per plan: 3 on Starter, 5 on Pro, 10 on Growth.
- Everything
- Every channel captured on every seat: email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, iMessage and SMS, X, Reddit, Slack, website chat, calls and meetings. Records fill themselves the same way.
Verdict. Everything, on channels and on seats. Lightfield on the polish of meeting capture.
Meetings
- Lightfield
- An AI meeting recorder, deal coaching and qualification against your sales process, meeting prep.
- Everything
- A native recorder in the desktop app with no bot in the call. Transcript, a summary shaped by your template, action items to tasks, all on the deal. Booking links. The Brief on the deal reads the meeting.
Verdict. Even. Lightfield goes deeper on coaching. Everything records natively and ties the meeting to the rest of the motion.
Outbound
- Lightfield
- Email sequences on Pro. Multichannel sequences, LinkedIn sync and advanced enrichment on Growth. A voice dialer is listed as coming soon.
- Everything
- Multichannel sequences on every seat, LinkedIn prospect search through your session, verified email and phone lookups, and a dialer that exists today.
Verdict. Everything.
After the yes
- Lightfield
- Lightfield stops at the deal and forecasts it.
- Everything
- Contracts with e-signature, invoices from the signed contract, a helpdesk, shared plans, docs and Stripe health on every customer.
Verdict. Everything.
AI and agents
- Lightfield
- An AI sales assistant for prospecting, qualification, meeting prep and follow-ups, with pipeline analysis and forecasting.
- Everything
- Claude in the workspace, acting with your permissions across every channel. The daily brief, skills, routines, workflows and an MCP server. Runs locally through the desktop app.
Verdict. Even. Lightfield on forecasting. Everything on doing.
